I have loved Rachel Ashwell and her Shabby Chic style for as long as I can remember. In fact, I can't believe I haven't written a post about it before now! I received her new book Shabby Chic Interiors for Christmas and haven't been able to put it down. Rachel's new take on her business and life is truly inspiring. I was so sad to hear that she was closing down her Shabby Chic stores last year and that Shabby Chic itself had filed for bankruptcy. Rachel saw it as a chance to start over and focus on things she really loved... and it shows.
While her style is a little too girlie for Mr O' I'm constantly inspired by her designs and ideas and dream of living in an all white house!
A few stores have since reopened and are now called Shabby Chic Couture. Here more affordable line, Simply Shabby Chic is still doing really well and is available at Target stores and amazon.com. Make sure to check out Rachel's blog too.
