While attempting to sell some furniture at a local flea market this weekend I purchased these two beauties...

rate my space inspired

A few months back I found this gorgeous dining room by moredesign on Rate My Space. I loved how calm it was and knew it would be the perfect look for my living room. I love the balance of the light and dark colors.

Here is my living room before the makeover...

I chose to use Restoration Hardware's Silver Sage for the wall color and used Dutch Boy Brilliant White in Semi-gloss for the trim. I love the contrast of the dark panels against the light walls!

99 Days 'til Christmas

Seriously, it's around the corner. And Pottery Barn is not going to let us forget. It's expected that stores will start promoting holiday shopping way early this year due to the economy and PB is no exception. While perusing their website today I discovered their Christmas decor is already out!

I bought these stockings last year and need to purchase a tree skirt to match...

I'm loving all the mercury glass! It'll be a major part in my holiday decor!

long time no chat...

Sorry for the lack of posts recently.... My trusty laptop has been in the shop for about a week now so I haven't been able to upload any pictures! Working on lots of projects these days that I can't wait to share.

a little inspiration

No, I'm not expecting. Let's get that out of the way... But it seem like I'm at the time in my life when everyone around me is. With a best friend having a baby this week and news of two on the way I thought it was time to look for some cute nursery ideas. I haven't thought about a kids or baby's room before so it was a challenge to come up with some cute looks. Below are inspiration boards I designed for a boy or girl along with some inpirational pics I found on my search. Enjoy!

I think this is my personal favorite for a boy's room. I just love the dark vintage looking furniture. And that they repurposed the sideboard!

paula deen furniture?

Let me start off by saying I love Paula Deen. I love her southern accent and sweetness, but most of all I love that she cooks and does not care about the calories she's about to consume. As a loyal subscriber to her magazine (which is fab btw) I was surprised when I saw an article about her new line of furniture. After thinking to myself "what does Paula know about furniture?" I took a look at some of her pieces and they are adorable.

The collection is very Southern inspired with gorgeous paint colors like Spanish Moss, Tobacco and Linen. Below are some of my favorites. I'll definitely be checking them out in person.

One of my favorite pieces is this sideboard which can also be turned into a bar. It has plenty of room for storage and best of all it can fit a mini-fridge inside of it!

The lines of the doors are so freakin cute, and the chalkboard on the inside....

The legs on this table are adorable and I love how she used slip covered chairs at each end!

I've been loving poster beds recently and the Savannah is no exception...

This coffee table is so cute, and functional!

flea market style

I've been busy with a few projects and hope to post pics soon.. but in the meantime I'm thrilled to share with you a new magazine that will be coming out in the coming months. It's called Flea Market Style and should launch in Spring 2010. They did recently launch their blog though and it's filled with great ideas, making me more anxious to get my hands on the mag! Enjoy!
