What do you do when your decor has changed and something you love doesn't fit in? Give it a makeover! My cousin recently moved and this cute little
cork board she had in her kitchen no longer fit in with her new decor. In less than 10 minutes I gave it a whole new look.

I didn't want the red to show through when I distressed the edges so I did a light coat of matte black paint to start. I just used some painters tape and and cardboard to cover the cork.

Here it is after a coat of Heirloom White..

For the finishing touch I added a wooden
embellishment I found at a local craft store. This too got a coat of black spray paint and a little distressing.
Here's the final look. I think it's so cute! I used some Liquid Nails to attach the
embellishment to the board and added a ribbon to the top. For only a few dollars and a few minutes you have something new!

I love it! It actually makes a decorative statement now, and is useful. Thanks for sharing!
