signs of summer

I just love the "shower" sign I made a few months back.. so I decided to make a one for the summer!

I had a 2 foot piece of wood in my garage so I painted it with a gorgeous aqua colored mistint paint I got a while back for $1! I then painted the word "beach" along with an arrow. Lastly I sanded the whole thing down to give it a vintage feel. What do you think?

  1. Perfect! Love those mis-tints for $1-2. I got one at HD several months ago, just trying to figure out while I'll paint with it. :)

  2. I like it! Its hard to tell how vintage it is from the pic. You may want to sand it a little more.

  3. Cute sign! I painted a sing similar but bigger in Spanish recently for our patio.

  4. I was just wondering how you lettered the sign? Did you do it freehand or stencil or anything else? I was also wondering what your favorite paints and spray paint brands are. Also what glues do you find work the best with which materials? I am just starting do get into crafts and redoing yardsale and goodwill finds. Thank you for your time.
