A week or so ago I found this hideous tray at Goodwill for $1.97. When I saw it I immediately thought of the tray Janell recently painted. And for that price, what do I have to lose?
After a good cleaning I primed it with some Kilz. Then I gave it three light coats of Glidden's "Quiet Rain," one of my free samples from a few months back!
After I had just the right base color I printed out this fabulous stencil from the Jones Design Company Blog. I then shrunk it down to the size I wanted on a photocopier. Once I had the right size I cut it out and began to trace it with a pencil onto the tray.
After it was all traced I went over the pencil with two coats of white craft paint. Here it is, I'm so thrilled with the way it came out! A quick project and the total was less than $5!
It looks great Jan! I like the stencil you added to it.
