huge vintage dresser

I saw this dresser on Craigslist a few months back and just could not pass it up. It's fantastic! I got it for a steal and knew it would be perfect in my office. It's huge! And I just love the vintage details.

Here's what it looked like when I brought it home. Clearly needs some love, and new wheels lol!

I took off the old hardware to replace it with glass knobs and look what I found.. looks like someone else replaced the hardware at one point too!

I then gave the whole thing a good sanding and a good layer of Kilz. These old dressers tend to bleed through. I also filled the old holes up with some wood filler.

Then it got two coats of Glidden's Antique white and a coat of poly. Here she is with the new glass knobs and wheels! I love it against the pale gray walls!

  2. This is wonderful...makes me think if everyone with old furniture read blogs they wouldn't be donating it all away! It is amazing and inspiring how an old piece can be transformed...great job!

  5. I love the color and the ornate design that is front and center. It's always great what an impact glass knobs make.

    Take care,
