a girlie one

It isn't very often that I come across bookcases to refinish. A few weeks back when I picked up this little beauty I also got this one...

I loved the bead detail and the scalloped edges.

I knew I just had to keep this one for myself. I sanded it down and then gave it a good coat of Kilz because old wood like this tends to bleed through. Then it got three coats of Glidden's Antique White. After a little distressing and some wipe on poly here she is!

I'm going to keep her in my office for now.. who knows where she'll end up!
